forkstat software package provides process fork/exec/exit monitoring tool, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install forkstat
forkstat is installed in your system.
Make ensure the forkstat package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep forkstat *
You will get with forkstat package name, version, architecture and description in a table
